The Potato Industry Awards are held biannually to coincide with the Potatoes Conference. The awards are the highlight of the potato industry in New Zealand and acknowledge the exceptional achievements by individuals and businesses in New Zealand.
Purpose
The purpose of the awards is to:
- Promote excellence in the potato industry in New Zealand
- Raise public awareness of the value, versatility, benefits of potatoes and the potato industry to New Zealand
- Encourage and promote environmentally responsible practices and solutions for the enhancement of the potato industry and horticulture in New Zealand
- Raise awareness of the expert potato growers in local communities and the role they play.
