Associate Prof Clive Kaiser (an applied Horticultural Scientist with a proven track record of implementing effective IPM programs for existing and emerging insect pests and diseases)\, from Lincoln University will present on current management strategies\, potential new approaches and possible research projects. Dr Iain Kirkwood (PNZ Technical Manager) will summarize a literature review and research already completed as part of the program. \nPreliminary Agenda \n\nOutline research already completed as part of the program\nOutline a proposed field trail for the coming season\nDiscuss ideas for the control of PTM in store\nFeed back from growers and Industry\nFuture work program – spray efficacy trials\, border crops\, biological control etc\n\nThe primary objective for the meeting is to receive feedback from growers and industry on the proposed program and any suggested improvements or additional research ideas.

SUMMARY:Vegetable Research and Innovation Roadshow - Dargaville
DESCRIPTION:Vegetables New Zealand\, with support from Vegetable Research & Innovation (VR&I) are hosting a number of grower roadshow events to highlight the research that is occurring in the vegetable industry. These events will cover updates from multiple product groups based on the region they are being held. These workshops will also cover the Sustainable Vegetable Systems project and the Nitrogen Decision Support Tool under development. Crop focuses will include Fresh Vegetables\, Process Vegetables\, Onions\, Potatoes\, Buttercup Squash and Tomatoes.
