An individual or company who has made a positive impact on the community or has supported their local community.
Purpose
The Potatoes New Zealand Community Award recognises an individual, groups, or organisation that has made significant contributions to supporting and strengthening their communities.
Eligibility
- Who Can Enter
Open to individuals, community groups, or organisations involved in activities that benefit the potato industry or its related communities in New Zealand.
- Membership
Nominees do not need to be members of Potatoes New Zealand, but they must be actively engaged in the potato industry, ie. an employee of a member.
- Timeline
The activities or initiatives must have been conducted within the last two years.
- Geographic Scope
The contribution must have had a meaningful impact on communities in New Zealand.
Nominations
- Submission Process
Nominations can be submitted online via the form at the bottom of this webpage.
- Who Can Nominate
Nominations can be submitted by members, trade members, associate members, colleagues, mentors, industry peers, or by the nominees themselves from the potato industry.
- Required Materials
- A clear description of the community initiative or activity, including its goals and outcomes.
- Optional supplementary materials, such as videos or media coverage.
Decision
- Final Decision
- The judging panel’s decision is final, and no correspondence shall be entered in to.
- Winners will be announced and recognised at the award presentation during the Potatoes Conference.
Benefits
- Community and Industry Recognition
Winners will be celebrated as role models, recognised for their dedication to improving community wellbeing.
- Promotion
The contributions of award recipients will be highlighted across Potatoes New Zealand’s communication channels, raising awareness of their efforts.
