Biosecurity Readiness Training Workshop

This is to confirm that Air NZ strikes have been cancelled and so Potatoes New Zealand, alongside Plant and Food, that we will still be running this readiness workshop for Potato growers and agronomists.

Identification of arthropods that are on the potato sector’s risk organisms list (Colorado potato beetle (Leptinotarsa decimlineata); Potato flea beetle (Epitrix similaris, E. papa, E. tuberis, E. cucumeris, E. subcrinita); Leaf mining flies (Liriomyza sativae, L. bryoniae, L. trifolii; L. huidobrensis; L. nietzkei, L. cepae, Chromatomyia horticola, Phytomyza gymnostroma); Potato leafhopper (Empoasca fabae); Red spider mite (Tetranychus evansi), and other priority alien arthropod pests, e.g. Brown marmorated sting bug (Halyomorpha halys), and Andean potato weevil (Premnotrypes sp.)
