Webinar: Soil Microbes – why are these important?

9th January 2025 @ 7:30 am 8:30 am

Agriculture has long managed microbes, largely focusing on the control of disease pathogens, but this is just a tiny slice of the microbial world. Linda’s research interests include the management of soil microbes to suppress plant diseases and promote plant growth. Microbes are powerful partners in plant productivity, what can we do to enhance the capacity of microbe communities to provide benefits to our systems?

Prof Linda Kinkel specialises in plant pathology at the University of Minnesota and will join this breakfast webinar to share her research with New Zealand growers and update us on the developing area of microbiome management.
