Samuel Pye is currently 17 and in his last year of high school.

He was brought up in a little area called Dorie 30 minutes away from Ashburton on the beautiful Canterbury Plains. His parents run an arable and vegetable farm, which is where his interest in potatoes came from. 

He is passionate about everything farming from driving the machinery to watching the end product being packed and made into something.

Samuel loves to go jet boating in the rivers near and far from his home, as he says it is a great way to see New Zealand’s great outdoors.
