Join Rowan Herridge from Otago University as he talks about ‘New Breeding Techniques – What are they, and what do they mean for potatoes’. This will be an insightful webinar where you can learn more about gene editing and what it means for New Zealand potatoes.
Rowan Herridge is a Research Fellow at the University of Otago. He received his PhD in 2012 from the University of Otago and went on to postdoctoral studies at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in New York. Upon returning to New Zealand in 2018 he has been investigating biotechnological approaches for F1 hybrid breeding and self-incompatibility in important crop species, including ryegrass, clover and potato.
