As of October 2019, Farm Environment Plans are an essential tool to meet incoming, stricter regulations. This has come about as the government has launched new National Policy Statements and as a result Regional Councils will be directed to meet proposals with management standards.
NZGAP – has been approved as an interim measure by Ministry of Environment and provides various resources including an FEP template. View these on their website here.
Submissions 2022
November 2022, PNZ and Vegetables NZ made a combined submission on the government proposals regarding He Waka Eke Noa and a grower emissions levy. You can read our submission below which includes the 15 consultation questions.
We have also prepared a comparison between our combined submission and the Horticulture NZ submission. (Horticulture NZ are industry partners in He Waka Eke Noa).

August 2021 PNZ made a submission on the Natural and Built Environment Act which can be read here and in September PNZ CEO Chris Claridge spoke to the select committee which can be viewed here.
