International Day of the Potato Promotion – Terms and Conditions
- Eligibility: The competition is open to individuals who are [age requirement] years of age or older at the time of entry. The competition is subject to all applicable national and local laws and regulations. Prize One is only available to Potato New Zealand grower members.
- Entry Period: The competition begins at Wednesday 15 May and ends at 12pm on Wednesday 29 May. Entries submitted before or after the entry period will not be eligible.
- How to Enter: Entrants may enter the competition by completing the official entry form (https://potatoesnz.co.nz/international-day-of-potato-2024/). Only one entry per person is permitted.
- Prizes: There are eight prizes in total:
Prize One: 1 x Potatoes New Zealand Conference Ticket. Christchurch Town Hall – August 2025
Prize Two: 6 x Packets Delicious Variety selection of Heartland Potato Chips
Prize Three: 6 x Packets Delicious Variety selection of Heartland Potato Chips
Prize Four: 6 x Packets Scrumptious Variety selection of Proper Crisps
Prize Five: 6 x Packets Scrumptious Variety selection of Proper Crisps
Prize Six: 1 x My Darling Lemon Thyme Every Day Cookbook by Emma Galloway
Prize Seven: 1 x My Darling Lemon Thyme Every Day Cookbook by Emma Galloway
Prize Eight: 1 x Simply Food Cookbook by Eleanor Ozich
No cash or other prize substitution permitted, except at Potatoes New Zealand’s discretion. The prize is non-transferable. - Winner Selection and Notification: A winner will be selected by random draw under the supervision of Potatoes New Zealand. The winner will be notified via email or phone within two days following the winner selection. If the winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within two days from the time award notification was sent, the prize may be forfeited, and an alternate winner selected.
- Publicity: Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for Potatoes New Zealand to use the winner’s name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
- General Conditions: Potatoes New Zealand reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the competition, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Potatoes New Zealand’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the competition, as determined by Potatoes New Zealand in its sole discretion.
- Limitation of Liability: By entering, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Potatoes New Zealand and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability.

- Sponsor: The competition is sponsored by Potatoes New Zealand, Proper Crisps and Heartland Potato Chips.
