PNZ NEWS
This month the team started work on our Pandemic Recovery & Transformation Plan.
The research informing our plan has 3 main pathways:
Market Research – who is buying what, where
Grower Research – how are growers responding to the crisis and what are their future plans on farm
Economic Research – what are domestic and global trends indicating for the recovery period domestically and in trade.

Parts 1 & 2 will be finished in early June. Part 3 will have initial findings in early June and become a regular monthly report.

If you are a grower and you haven’t yet participated in our grower survey please email Gemma.

PNZ Process Sector Recovery is being informed by a sub-committee with processor representatives, Chair Stuart Wright, grower Guy Slater and the PNZ team. We are sending a formal letter to Minister Faafoi on the 2nd of June and the media campaign has gained much traction. Read the Press Release here.

PNZ meetings have either moved to Zoom or been postponed. Check our events page for updates on these here.

PNZ Events are under review for the next 12 months and we would like you to answer 2 questions to help us plan the best delivery method for you. Go to the event poll here.

PNZ area planted surveys are imperative for informing industry pandemic recovery plans. Please complete the form you receive in the mail or download one from our website as soon as possible and email it to Nicola Loach.

We know growers are resilient and resourceful, however if needed please reach out for support.
