Chemical compliance news 25th June 2020: The EPA determined in May that grounds exist to reassess fenamiphos, diazinon and methamidophos, with a view to reconsidering their current phase-out timings. The next stage of the reassessment process requires an application to the EPA by Market Access on behalf of industry. This application will outline the case for delaying the phaseouts and provide details on the efforts that have been undertaken to identify alternatives to replace them for the key critical uses that we are requesting they be retained for. If you feel strongly about the use of these chemicals please contact the PNZ Technical Manager Iain Kirkwood 027 240 1092 by Thursday 02 July 2020.
