PNZ NEWS
2 & 1/2 weeks to go!!! Potatoes New Zealand urge you to register now for limited tickets to our 2021 Potato Industry Forums (PIFS) in Ashburton and Pukekohe. If you prefer you can register over the phone with Gemma 027 240 4682.

This is a great opportunity to connect you with the PNZ team, agronomists, researchers and to address the current and future challenges and opportunities for our industry. The PNZ AGM will close the day in Pukekohe at 3.30pm.

 Be Covid-19 ready and follow all hygiene and safety procedures.

PIF TOPICS

A visit from Professor Calum Wilson of University Tasmania to talk about Powdery Scab is on hold due to travel bubble closing however he is delivering a pre-recorded webinar for the PIFs.
Other highlights in the programme include Bernard Hickey talking economy, Katherine Rich talking supermarket duopoly, a decent session on R&D including new projects on challenges such as psyllid and liberibacter and an opportunity for open floor discussion. We pleased to have a number of agronomists joining panel discussions at both events.

PNZ continues to engage with industry at our Grower Insights Meetings. These meetings are listed on our events page and enable growers to let us know what their challenges are, and how we can best support. It’s also an opportunity for a farmer to farmer exchange of ideas and learnings. 
Our recent meeting in Palmerston North was a chance to hear more directly about councils, consents, FEPs, markets, pest & disease and labour challenges.
