Please check the latest version of the Seed Rulebook and expect delivery with our Christmas mailout.
The latest Seed Certification Newsletter is now available.
The 2018 edition of Handbook of Pests and Diseases for New Zealand Potato Growers, is now available.  Soon to arrive hardcopy in Christmas mailout.
The new PCN Factsheet, is an important resource and the farm hygiene advice relates to most potato pest and disease management.

Event Calendar

The end of the year is racing towards us and the PNZ calendar is filling with events. Please check for what may be relevant to you.
We’d like to advise you there is a Biosecurity Seminar on the 27th November, at Plant & Food, Lincoln, with morning and afternoon sessions. Iain Kirkwood is the liaison for this invite only training.

Research & Development Updates

Plant & Food and Hort NZ’s Tamaraxia Trizae work is underway. Related files can be found in the PNZ Library,  including release guides and surveys.
This controlled release could provide important biological control of psyllids in the future.

Consumer Demand to know food origins

Horticulture NZ is pleased that the government is striving to meet consumer expectations, for Country of Origin labelling, with a new bill on the way.
Hort NZ & MPI have launched a survey for producers. Please read about the work and take the survey, to share your producer perspective.
