PNZ Annual Report & AGM
We are in the final stages of writing the 2019-2020 Annual Report which will be available soon online and then posted hard-copy. You will receive an email as soon as we have the PDF posted on the website.
The AGM is 13th August, 12.30pm, at the Pukekohe Indian Hall.
The values and volumes are indicating another year of growth, with only small shifts within industry fresh and processed product values, which overall balance each other out.
Key achievement 2019-2020: overall industry value is $1,087,871,000.

A reminder you can view our 2020 Market Research report on our website here

 PNZ Process Sector Recovery
The anti-dumping tariff application was submitted on 3rd July 2020 and we are awaiting MBIE’s decision. Our investigator continues to gather evidence of the European fries appearing at cut-price in retail and via food distributors to hospitality. You can email evidence to Trzzn.Pneebyy@cbgngbrfam.pb.am

Sustainable Vegetable Systems Project (PNZ-79):  We are in the final stages of the funding contract for SVS and will soon send an update to all stakeholders. We plan to present an overview at the Horticulture NZ AGM this year. SVS outcomes will play a vital role in providing farmer tools to meet regulatory changes. Check out the Join the Dots report here to get an idea of problem solving using FEPs and read the latest SVS update.

United Fresh
PNZ Strategic Partner United Fresh are asking for feedback on their Draft Traceability Guidelines which evolved from the Sustainable Farming Fund Project “Effective Produce Traceability Systems”, managed by United Fresh.
The Draft Guidelines are a consultation document.
By adopting the Guidelines, the Project Team believes that the New Zealand fresh produce industry will be able to significantly improve its Interoperability, i.e. the ability to achieve a robust and accurate External Traceability System, that covers the entire fresh produce supply chain, and not just individual companies. Please complete the United Fresh survey here to give feedback on their draft guidelines which can be read here.
