PNZ NEWS

The PNZ team are now double-vaccinated. If you are having difficulty accessing a vaccine, due to time or location constraints please let us know. The NZ rural sector is lagging in vaccination rates and the scientific evidence and Ministry of Health indicate the vaccine will reduce risks of serious illness and transmission.

We are constantly updating our Covid-19 webpage with the latest advice as it comes to hand. With our largest growing areas in Canterbury and Pukekohe experiencing increased disruption as Delta spreads, we remind you to call us for support

Be Covid-19 ready. Follow all health, hygiene and safety procedures.

PNZ COMMS & ENGAGEMENT
New psyllid project launches
The Canterbury spud community were very lucky to sneak in an event this month in Ashburton, just before the Covid cases popped up as a cautionary reminder on Thursday morning. The Canterbury Psyllid Liberibacter Initiative (CPLI) was formed in August 2021 by like-minded farmers and industry representatives to combat the devastating impact of the Liberibacter (Lso) bacterium causing Zebra chip in potato crops.

You can read about the CPLI project on the PNZ website here. This includes the 1st CPLI newsletter and a link to Canterbury CPLI Degree Days.
