In a recent regional meeting PNZ heard of the pressures from rising production costs, the most recent impact being diesel prices. PNZ are working with VegesNZ and Onions NZ to feedback to HortNZ, with a plan to address the raft of issues which ultimately will affect NZ consumers’ access to nutritious local vegetables, if the government doesn’t step in to mitigate.
